11/06/23 New Month, New Me?

Last week was stressful, but what’s new? Between constant tests and limited time to

study for the SAT, I struggled to manage my ISM work. Last week was the first time we had two

research assessments: original work and interview assessments. Although I managed to finish

these two, I still had the daunting task of my research speech ahead of me. However, it was not

as far ahead as I liked to believe. The 8-10 minute speech is this Thursday and I am working hard

to prepare for it. As I decide which research assessments to cover, I am getting the chance to

reflect on all that I have learned thus far! I hope to do better in this speech than my first, and I

look forward to hearing all about what my classmates have been up to as well. In addition to

ISM, I have recently recognized the need to push myself a bit harder to achieve all that I’m

seeking. I hope that with the new month– and the closer we get to next year– I can gain

motivation to work harder than before. There is still so much ahead of me and I cannot get down

now.
