This past week was quite a short week in terms of classes. I really only had class two days that week. On Monday, I missed the majority of the day for a GT American Studies field trip to the Sixth Floor Museum to learn about the assassination of John F. Kennedy. I had a lot of fun getting out with my class and the topic was very interesting to learn about! I did class as normal on Tuesday and Wednesday, but we had our annual Wolverine Games on Thursday. As part of the Science National Honor Society, I helped out with the dodgeball tournament, and that turned out to be pretty exciting. Finally, we had Friday off, along with the following Monday. I was looking forward to this long weekend and completing some work. Outside of working on ISM and my other classes, I celebrated Easter and my family’s birthday. We went down to Austin and visited a few friends and family as well. I got to take a tour of UT Austin, which was my first formal walking tour (I have done a self-paced one at Rice). Having been on my first tour, I was pleasantly surprised with how much information and promise the school showed me. By the end, I could really imagine going there but I am definitely open to exploring more schools. Going into next week, I am hoping to wrap up my final product and start preparing for FPN.
