This past week was no less stressful than any other week recently! The marking period is wrapping up so I have a variety of grades in all of my classes. My classmates and I also had our PSAT on Wednesday, another cause for stress! The test was administered online for the first time so I was a bit worried, but it went okay and I had an SAT to look forward to that Saturday. After PSAT, I got the opportunity to go to the Professional Symposium on Thursday. I was a bit nervous to talk to other ISM students and professionals, but I adapted quickly and made the most of my time there. I really enjoyed getting to see my old classmates from Reedy and Frisco High School. I caught up with a lot of middle school friends and connected with them through ISM. I also got to meet plenty of new ISM students, along with experienced ISM 2 students. My interviews went well and I was able to answer the questions much better than I expected. I thought of it as a conversation rather than an interrogation, so it was easier to form my responses in a comfortable manner. We had a long weekend which was perfect to catch up on schoolwork. Otherwise, I had fun going to an Indian dance event on Saturday with my friends. I look forward to wrapping up the quarter next week and furthering the connections I made during the symposium!
